Governer Greg Abbott's Inauguration

2015 (Multi-troop) Frontier Badge Intensive for AHG & Trail Badge Intensive for TLUSA

James & Jacob, after earning TLUSA's highest honor: The Freedom Award.

GFFC is the charter organization for two character building programs.  AHG is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country.  In a similar way, Trail Life is a character, leadership, and faith building outdoor adventure program for boys and young men.

The troop number (1228 for each) comes from Duet. 12:28 (nkjv), which says, "Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God."

Both troops meet twice a month at the same time.  Parental involvement to some degree is required.  Although many AHG and TLUSA troops are open to all students, both 1228s are closed for home school students only.  Church membership, however, is not required to join.
